What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? FL

I have a question about moving and leases etc. I am under the impression that if you are a month to month tenant once you give your 30 day notice you are free to move out after that 30 days. However, for example if you give notice March 1st that you will be out by April 1st but you dont in fact clear out April 1st , you instead leave around the 5th or so, don't you have to pay the whole month of April because the landlords lost the chance to get April rent? Furthermore, are tenants required to let landlords show the rental property to future prospective tenants as long as its advance notice?
Tenants are not allowed to deny access are they?

Florida law does NOT require 30 days...only 15 before the end of the month/rental period for MTM agreements.

BUT your question does not line up with this law because the notice must "end" at the end of the rental period/month. AND actually a LL does not have to permit a tenant to stay past their initial written notice termination date either. BUT if the tenant does stay into April, they will need to pay ALL OF APRIL and give a new written notice sometime before the 15th to move out by the end of April.
