Goodness gracious. Get over yourself. If you don't like it, don't read it. Or, get your information in another place where you won't be offended. It appears that you are very sensitive.

I take the word "assinine" to be rather vulgar, base, and abrasive. To quote it each and every time you post is to be a baiter, for you are passive aggressively insinuating an insult.

So that is what is wrong with your signature. And you know it so once again it is disingenous of you, in bad faith to even ask.

I replied to the rest of your response earnestly and to the others as well. Don't see the need to act inappropriately or overstate.
Oh, brother.

Definitions of asinine on the Web:

* devoid of intelligence
wordnet.princeton.edu/perl/webwn

* The donkey or ass (Equus asinus) is a domesticated animal of the horse family, Equidae. The wild ancestors of the donkey are African.

True story, I swear.

During one hotly-contested trial, the prosecutor called the defense attorney's theory of the case "fallacious".

The defense attorney objected, saying, "Your honor, I dislike the prosecutor stating that my argument was made up of phalluses!"

I respectfully disagree and stand by what I have typed here, except for my slip into the same sort of behavior that I received.

I came here in good faith, wanting expert advice. I have received expert advice and acknowledged that.

I don't see what else is required of me as far as my behavior goes.

Umm, I believe I know was the word means. I was an English professor, my friend. There was hardly a confusion of the sort that you imply.

It is difficult for me to see why my objection to the signature is unreasonable. But the matter hardly matters.

Funny story!

It is difficult for me to see why you feel the need to monitor the language (signature) of the person who was trying to help you. Yet, you have no problem typing what you did, which I find unamusing AND offensive.

It is a shame you are offended.
My signature is an automatic addition to each post, I do not "pick and choose" to add it when I post. Therefore, it is not a vulgar insult, rather, it is my way of making people aware of my observations...

You have received excellent advice and have acknowledged such. Thank you. I will post no more on this thread to avoid it becoming an argument.

Actually that is incorrect. I apologized immediately and then followed up by saying that I did not stand behind that kind of use of language.

This matter is clearly degenerating into something that has hijacked the thread from the main issue. I am a moderator on several online sites and call that trolling. I admit I participated and therefore regret my actions.

I will refrain from any more comment or participation of this sort. It is meaningless and beside the point.
