The maximum total fine looks to be $300 with 24 hours community service OR a tobacco addiction class. He will most likely just take the community service.

I don't believe the options are from which your son gets to choose... moreso, what the judge chooses to impose at his/her discretion.

He would be better served with the tabacco addiction class... unless the community service includes attending said class.
