This is one of the EXACT reasons why steps are so disliked.

They get some holier then thou attitude and think that they are the mom.

I have news for you, idiot.. no matter what you do or where you go, those children have a mother, and she is not you and you will never be her. With your attitude they may come to resent you as adults, hell, maybe even sooner.

Maybe one day karma will pay you a visit, after you have a child and some other woman decides she is their mother once dad moves on from you.

And I highly doubt the court order has YOU listed as a person who HAS anything.

I know some STEPS are just plain evil (i kno i had one) so i would never ever be mean and evil to my (step)KIDS!!They love me and i them so whats the big deal if we use titles that YOU dont agree with!! I just wish the bitter EX"s (ON THIS BOARD) would just get over it!!! I kno they have a mother and i know i will never be her...why? because i would never take a broomstick or belt to my daughter (that was her REAL mom)...some of you people are just twisted... you would probably love to see HER (the real mom or chis brown in this situation) get the kids just because shes the REAL mom. And no the court order didn't say ME but hes my husband so its automatically WE.
Karma has visited me . I have a 16yr old son who has a stepmom who he loves very much...I have no problem with him calling her mom...she is a mom to him when hes with them and even when hes not...I apprieciate that she loves my son like hes hers...THATS A GOOD THING PEOPLE

y is everybody soooo focused on what happened btwn my husband and his ex some 13yrs ago...did you guys forget that SHE BEAT her defenseless 8yr old daughter with a metal broomstick!!! shame on you all!!! not 1 person asked how she was doing after such a tramatic event (she was struck 10 to 15 x (according to the moms statement) then had to witness her MOM come home acting a stone fool infront of the SW and police...so much so that she was arrested but i guess SHE'S STILL THE VICTIM!!! *smh*
and if MY HUSBAND ever decides to CHRIS BROWN me the way SHE (the ex) CHRIS BROWNED her 8yr old...best believe he will be arrested!!!!!! but i'll take my chances...

Actually that was the situation between Chris Brown and Rihanna according to court documents. And YOU with your fountain of knowledge said your husband's was similar. So you apparently have no clue of what you speak.

Actually we offer very good advice when the person posting a question that wants advice has a clue of what they are talking about.

IF he shouldn't get them back for what he did to her 13yrs ago then SHE (the mom) should'nt get her daughter back after what she did just 2weeks ago!!!

My XH's charges were removed and he completed his classes, that doesn't mean it didn't happen
And where you get off calling them OUR children is beyond me!!
I know not legal advice but that just erks me!!

Actually I am an attorney Guardian Ad Litem. Board certified and licensed. I have destroyed step parents on the stand and won restraining orders to remind the legal strangers that they have NO legal say so nor any legal rights to children that they did not give birth to or legally adopt. You are a blow up doll for your husband to sleep with and use. That does NOT make you legally anything to the children. You would be extremely easy to discredit in court.
