The Father would sit at the agreed upon exchange point only to have the son come to the car and tell him he doesnt want to go with him without any explanation. This would happen month after month after month, with no change. The wife each time would call the police (its a civil matter so they dont care) saying we would threaten her and yet we would have the whole thing on voice recordings. By what police told us, she has to make the son go with his father because he's under age 14. When the children turn 14, then they have the right to make the decision not to go with him, but until then, its contempt of child support order. He took her in multiple times for contempt of court and the courts would just give her a slap on the wrist and tell her to not do it again, and yet it keeps happening.

that fact that you are being given any advice is amazing.

so i'll help as well.

dad needs to call for a police escort each time the child does not get in the car with him. and that whole "at age 14 he won't have to is BS". cops are not lawyers.

this is what dad needs to do. dad shows up, child does not get into car, dad calls for a police escort. if the child is not escorted to the car, get a copy of the police report and file for contempt. each and every time.

now for you, if mom is allowing visitation between paternal grandparents and child, and is threatening to withhold if you attempt to contact the child, then stop. don't jepordize that relationship. all you qould be doing is hurting the child trying to maitain control. so leave that alone. just my opinion on that matter.
