we are the plaintiffs in a lawsuit that has been pending for 4 1/2 yrs. We have had the same representation during this period.
Less than 4wks before trial we recieve a motion to withdraw that had been filed by our attorneys 2 days before. The hearing for this motion to be heard was held a with a very reluctant judge these attorneys were granted their motion.
We are now in posssession of every piece of paper generated in almost 5 years!
There is solid evidence that our attorneys have devalued our case tremendously by the actions they took. When and how do we file a motion to the court to have the amount of fees they are entitled to under contract reduced due to the damage they have caused our case. The judge at the hearing said "You are doing this defendant great harm and devaluing the suit immensley". We went to this hearing without representation. How do we obtain a transcript of the precedings?State of TN

!!!! Then why the hell did the judge grant the motion to withdraw? An attorney is not allowed to withdraw in a time/fashion that prejudices the client. Report your attorneys to the state bar ethics committee immediately. The disciplinary board probably has the authority to reduce the attorneys' fees. You could also file a motion to reconsider & ask the judge to reverse the decision to let them withdraw. Why did they want out?

You get a transcript of the hearing by going to the court clerk's office & paying the transcribing fee.

This is not legal advice and you are not my client. Double check everything with your own attorney and your state's laws.
