my stuff was trashed out or thrown away

hi i stay on campus for college . and i was staying with a friends family before i moved on campus. and so i never movied everything on campus because i was sharing a room with my roomates.

i was made sure to my friends familly 4 months ago that my stuff would be safe at there house and it wouldn't be touched.
My friend told me that they thrown and trash my stuff out and let people still all of it too.

my hole life was in there house. plus my ID, SSC,birth C,my and my passport .. i have nothing . And i was never warned .. i called the owner of the house and he said "it wasn't his fail" and he clame he told one of my friends to tell me to come get my stuff.

he said he took my stuff out the house because there was no more room for it and he need to bring in a exterminator for mice.

But iam thinking why didn't he just but it in the basement or move it back in the house. I feel my stuff shouldn't have been touch with out me being informed . can i sue him??

Can you prove your actual damage? what do you have to show what you left there, and what was disposed of?

SS cards are free to replace, and sentimental loss counts for nada.

I would sue, because "I told your friend to tell you, to move your stuff" is not notice. but be sure he will claim to have tried. or contacted you several times.

I had no contract with my friend family. I was homeless and my friends suggested i stay with here familly.I stayed at there house for a year before i when to college four months ago.

i didn't have to pay rent but i would give them money on food and bills. but there was no rental or storage agreement. The owner of the house told me my stuff would be safe.

my passport was a $150 bucks and my ID would cost me $20 and and i was told i would have to go back to the state iam from to get my BirthC and SSC. I don't have the money to travel there.

a lot of my college books and cloths are gone. I have nothing now. my whole life was stored and packed a way at there house. most of my stuff was packed up. i justed a truck to get it.

if i knew my stuff was going to be thrown out i would have tryed to find someone to help me move to my dorm till i could get money for a storage. But i don't have a job to pay for any thing.

Do i still have a case or no? what do you think??

I am so hurt that is has happen to me .. this is bad news i just got hit with. how can i make a report of my stuff being stolen . I am scared someone could be stealing my identity right now.

If you were homeless with no money I wouldn't be too worried about somebody stealing your identity because you probably have really bad credit. You can put a fraud alert on your credit report for free just to be safe though.

And if you have no money I doubt you will be traveling internationally anytime soon either.

You do NOT need to travel to place of birth to get a replacement social security card. People lose them all the time. As far as your birth certificate goes there really aren't too many circumstances where you really need it.

Off campus student housing is really by it's nature transitory.

I would do freelance work and tem jobs to get money to pay for school and food .I also gave the owner money for bills just as a appreciation for letting me stay there

It all comes down to what you can prove was there, and the depreciated value of said items.

Don't worry, you will mourn your lost memory's forever, but you will think about it less and less, and in the meantime getting new stuff to cherish.

I don't have much maybe one, two pictures or more on my phone.

every thing was disposed . All my cloths,shoes,Ipod, computer, MP3player, three DVD players, my whole music collection of CDs,one TV, bunch of DVDs,high price hand bags,high price jewelry , luggages,books for school, portfolio i was working on to get jobs, my awards and trophies my . all of my pictures getting my awards. family and friends photo albums, my blackets, towels, and second hair dryer.

How did I qualify for college with poor spelling and grammar? Well to answer your question, I don't use it in school or work. No ones perfect all the time!!Grammar isn't a requirement on this site anyway.
