He is his legal step father....carries insurance on him we file taxes together he financially supports him....and yes if we divorced I would want their relationship to continue....he's the only father he's known....I guess the italics were difficult to read....but I've had enough help here.

That's true. I have heard that...

Thanks anyway. I can't figure out how to delete this from my phone.

Please stop responding to me. I'm pregnant I'm in the hospital having test done....just killing time trying to get answers. I will hire an attorney and never return to this site once I'm home and can delete all of this crap.

You do realize that you're the one causing your own stress, right?

Deleting your thread is a disservice to other people looking for advice.

You did indeed get yourself into a mess. Getting a lawyer to help you clean it up is the best way to get rid of the stress. It will cost you some money, but your mental health, your baby-to-be's health, and knowing that your son's parental status will be CLEARLY defined and legally sound at the end of the process will be well worth it. The lawyer can do the leg-work of finding and serving your exes and knowing what paperwork to file and doing the talking for you at any hearings. To me, that's worth whatever you have to pay for it. It will make the mountain of complications you have now seem small and manageable.
