I talked with Mom on Friday. She was very rude. Not a surprise. Almost lost our visitation for this weekend, but didn't. Now, instead of Mom not wanting to talk to Dad about the child, she doesn't want to talk to me. :) We also found out that the child was left for 1/2 hr. before school ( she walks there) and she was scared to be alone because of the monsters in the closets.
The child said Mom wasn't going to leave her home alone anymore. She's staying with her friend that lives next door. Great! Now we don't have to worry if she is O.k. Thanks!

Quite honestly - if my ex's wife called me to discuss what she perceived to be my poor parenting, I wouldn't be all that polite either. I'd tell you to f*ck off and if Dad wants to talk to me - he can call me.

Children that age - especially girls - can be rather dramatic. I hear "you ALWAYS yell at me", "you ALWAYS take HIS side", "you NEVER let me do XYZ." Yeah, right.

lol, We got the kids a trampoline on Wednesday, had it set up before the kids got home... they spent all afternoon till dark both Wednesday AND Thursday on it, only taking eating and potty breaks. Yesterday, I picked them up from the sitters and we went straight to soccer practice, which didn't end till 730, my daughter made the comment she was getting on the trampoline when we got home, I told her she probably wouldn't be able to because it would be close to, if not already dark when we got home... she promptly informed me "We NEVER get to use it, I don't know why you even bought it."

OP, to children everything is SUCH.A.BIG.DEAL.
Oh, and ps... I "yell" at both my children all the time too, if you ask them. Why? B/c if they don't do things when I ask, like clean their rooms, I get irritated... Conversation with my son,

me"Clean your room."
son"ok"
me"go clean your room"(five minutes later)
son"I AM"
me"Get off your BUTT AND GO CLEAN YOUR ROOM"
son"why do you ALWAYS YELL!!!"
me"b/c you don't seem to HEAR me when I talk!"
