My wife and I live in Arizona. Our total estate value is less than 600k. All assets (property, bank accounts, autos) are held in joint tenancy with right of survivorship. If one of us dies, is there any need for probate?
Probably not, but as there are household effects and cars and momentos, and there may be other things in the future, do Wills anyway to keep other heirs at law from making claims. With a bit of luck you'd not need it.
And if there were a joint death -- car or airplane crash -- your heirs would be saved grief.
