I am talking about the first 15 seconds here. The minute is too long a time duration. The enrollment system is pretty simple to understand even for a junior school kid,so Im pretty sure I know it.
If the enrollment system is so simple, how come you never get the classes you want?

I am talking about NOT BEING able to enroll , because of a problem with THEIR blackboard system.(Sorry if I hadnt brought this up earlier).

And as for what exactly happened. Enrollment opens at 5 am , I ENROLL at exact 5 :00:00, BUT Im greeted by a random error screen. By the time I go back and click enroll at 5:00:30, my classes are gone! Hope that lends some perspective.

I think you missed this post.

No, I think you did.

But the answer remains the same. Talk to your advisor. Or, here's a novel thought, call IT and see if there's a problem with your computer connection. The university is not responsible for your stress because everyone can figure out how to enroll in their classes but you.

Talk to the advisor seems quite right. But, you may spare the derision. I'm in fact surprised that you fail to understand that the issue is with THEIR portal and not my internet conection. Sigh.

I disagree. The fact of the matter is that the classes fill up by people logging in through the portal. If the portal was the problem, then the classes couldn't fill up, could they?

And as long as you insist that there can be no possible explanation but a problem with the portal, nothing is going to happen. Grown ups think outside the box and look for other solutions, instead of whining and stamping their feet that it's always someone else's fault.

You're a UNIVERSITY student?

I would suggest you get on the waiting list for the classes that you want and hope that a spot opens up. Talk with your advisor if you don't know how to do that. Chances are good that someone will drop the course before the semester starts, or if enough people are on the waiting list, they may open up another section (if it's a popular course). And see a therapist to deal with your "emotional trauma", because clearly you are having trouble dealing appropriately with normal, everyday stress. I hate to think what would happen to you if you were ever exposed to ACTUAL trauma.

If the portal is the problem and there is a "black-market" in some courses then you should have no difficulty in finding 4 or 5 other complainants. You should make an appointment with the Grad School Dean where all of you may discuss this complaint.
I must say that I can't imagine that such a problem would not be a major story in the campus newspaper and a concern for the administration. You don't mention this.

There is an easier and simple solution.

You can go home to your country and take classes there.

Well, to provide more insight to the problem . Most of these courses are hoarded by students, who happen to get them first by a fraction of seconds. They are then hoarded, traded, sometimes even sold ! Now as a graduate student, Im more worried about getting a job or doing research, rather than indulging in a black market to trade for courses!
I hope I'm making myself clear.
I seriously doubt this is happening. The other students are simply quicker at registering than you are. If your priorities are elsewhere (i.e. research or finding a job)? it is not the university's fault - you need to readjust your priorities.

If you cannot stay in compliance with the terms of your visa, you can go home and attempt entry later. You can also seek to take them at another institution as a transient student if your visa will allow it. I suggest you enter the registry screen 5 or 10 minutes earlier as others appear to be doing, hence the lack of available nodes.
