What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? New York.
What is is called when someone makes a malicious comment about someone to their friends, but the real intention is for the person actually insulted to hear the comment.
Example:
Tom and Larry are sitting in a bar, Bob is at the other end of the bar.
Tom says to Larry, and loudly while looking at Bob:
"You know Larry, Bob is a complete tool."
I am sure that an exact term for this exists, as scenarios like this are as old a as Shakespeare. (Think the 'nose-thumbing' exchange in Romeo y Juliette...)
Please help.
