This whole thing is silly. Dad can take the easy way out and not give a bath at all. It's only EOW for Pete's sake.

If she's truly concerned about the child being burned with hot water for the bath, she can just tell the child to stay out of Dad's way when he carries the pot upstairs. Way cheaper than court.

Geez - can't tell you the # of times I slept in front of the stove with - horrors!! my BROTHER and sisters - because we couldn't afford to get oil delivered for our radiators. I'd be far more concerned over no heat as opposed to hot water.
