What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? AZ

Credit card company sent me a letter a couple months ago stating that I was no longer liable for a business credit card that I had. I never even used the card and was no longer a part of the business. Now, they are calling me asking for payments on the card and claiming im still on the account. Can they still do this even though I have a letter from them stating that I'm not liable for the account?

Slow down there.
Does the letter say you are not going to be liable for FUTURE charges? Or ALL charges?

I sent a copy of the letter to them. Now they are trying to say that the letter was sent "accidentally" and that i'm still liable for the card.

They wouldn't have a problem if you accidentally assumed liability for the card.

Talk to an attorney.
