My next neighbors make constant loud noise off and on all day and night which consists of loud music, loud arguments, running through their house, banging on the wall and playing basketball in their house.I called the police several times, they quiet down a little and then noise starts back up. There are other issues with neighbors also so talking to them has not help at all.

What state? Have you complained to the LL?

They are school age children. They make noise at various times during the day and night. They have been my neighbors for about one year. I sent a letter to the Landlord in July 2020 and received no response . The arguments are loud sometimes with vulgar language. The mother/guardian of the children is also aware of complaint about the noise because I told her about it when I called the police in October 2020 on the children when they almost damaged my backyard fence entering my backyard unauthorized trying to retrieve their basketball .

Maybe you should buy them a video game console and turn them into mindless zombies. I can't believe in this day and age kids are permitted to play basketball in their own yard.

P.S. When did you move to Delaware? I think you lived in my neighborhood when I was growing up.

I don't disagree with the tone of your post, but I do want to point out that the OP is upset about the trespass, and that's a valid concern. I wouldn't want neighborhood kids climbing my fence/wall to get in to my back yard. The concern would rise exponentially if I had a pool (but I don't know if the OP does or not).

The kids have a large basketball hoop. Our homes are older row/townhome type .I was concerned about damage to my car which is parked in my driveway/backyard. I contacted the city's licensing and inspection office who said that the neighbors could have the basketball hoop. I also contacted my city council representative who suggested that installed a fence extension which I did as well as a new backyard gate/fence that was 5 ft high instead of my previous fence which was 3 ft. My city council representative suggested that I start calling the police when the kids entered my yard without permission . I called at least 6 times and last time that I called was in October 2020 because not only did they enter my yard without permission, they climb over another neighbors yard and kicked my gate opened . The police officer said that I was irrational and irate but I am fed up. I now believe that this constant noise problem is in retaliation for me calling the police on them. What can do to resolve this problem I open to any suggestions?

Kids make noise. Would you return their ball to them if it ended up in your backyard? You could move. If they damage your car, prove it when you sue. I agree with the police officer.

I am not sure that there is anything that you can do. The police have determined that you are irrational about the situation therefore I don't see you having any recourse.

If your property gets actually damaged in some way then you would be able to sue for the damage.
