I signed a non-compete for my former employer four years into my emplyment with him because he wanted to re-locate me to a new area. I don't know why he didn't have me sign one from the beginning. I've since left them and they did not replace my position for 9 months. Can he protect an area where he has no representation? (the contract has no geographical mention). The contract reads that cannot sale his product line to prior client, but can he have "protection" of that client if it is verified by client that the former employer is no longer their supplier?
What can he do to me in court? What is typical and worst case if a judgement is brought?
