How long can a collection agency attempt to collect a debt from NSF in the state of Arkansas?
Note I am not questioning the act of passing a NSF check...and this question is pertaining to an associate, not myself. (yes, I know you all have "heard" that before.)
Note, this is a collection agency not a Prosecuting attorney's office.
In addition, the check was passed by another person on the account and it was not authorized by the account holder. It was NOT a joint account. The account holder filed an affidavit of this at the time it was discovered, but nothing transpired. We are in the process of obtaining a copy of the affidavit.
