They have not reevaluated you because they see your disability as life long. Is it an autism spectrum disorder? If so, that may be why there was no need to reevaluate you. Why would you go and ask to get off Social Security if you have no job skills or training, no prospect for stable employment. While you might get a job, I seriously doubt, unless it is in a sheltered environment, that you would be able to keep it.
I have trust fund that I created that can support me until I get a job. I will just have to get off my butt and find a job. I have a Bachelors degree.

Actually I am appointed by the court with quasi judicial immunity. I did not say you were crazy, I said it is obvious that your disability renders you incompetent in legal matters, even though you are intelligent. The fact that you are intelligent or have a college education does not mean that you possess the pragmatics to become successfully employed. You do not understand that your disability is something that can help you, not hurt you. By denying your disability, you play into your father's hands. You can ask the court for evaluation and also for ADA accommodations, in your case to provide an attorney to assist you in communicating with the court, while you are highly verbal, you still cannot effectively communicate.

Are you a GAL?

If it is an approved special needs trust, it does not affect your SSDI, do not ask to come off SSDI without evaluation, do you have Asperger's syndrome? No, I am not a GAL, you need a GAL and you need evaluation and possibly a conservator.

That is just the point, why op is still profoundly disabled. Can you immagine supervising this person, or asking them to perform a task without step by step directions?

I see the point your trying to make and it would be useful if I really was disabled medically like for general medical reasons. I have never gotten anything in life by lying. At the very least perhaps even if the whole world sees me as disabled, I cannot lie to myself and say that I am when I am not even when it would make my life comfortable.

That to me is a sin. I am a Christian. I don't think God creates disabled people and those that are are not he creates people that may have some problems but most of those problems are on a general medical level. I think that mental illness is a myth. Psychology is a new science that frankly should not even be considered a science.

In fact in my everyday affairs no one says, "Well I think your disabled but your not aware of it."

The only time it comes up is if someone disagrees with things that are more philosophical about life. For example, I am a Christian their are people that judge people and say well because he is a Christian I will not want to associate with them or work around them. But that intolerance is based upon philosophical ethics not medical ethics.

I have trust fund that can support me even if I go off of SSDI until I get a job.

It would be a spiritual sin for me to lie to the court and say I need a Guardian for psychological reasons. Perhaps not practical as you have pointed out, but advocating to be evaluated to ask the court to judge me to be incompetent is something I cannot do because of my spiritual and religious beliefs.

Well I was able to get a BA degree in college without the professors having to stop and explain to be step by step how to get a degree. And it was a very tough college that had a high drop rate the out the first year because it was so competitive.

Forumguest,
You have a routine, as long as that routine is not changed you do ok, but when you are challenged you are not. That is not a lie just because you can't comprehend that which you don't understand or something new. You will have a meltdown attempting to work without it being a supportive environment and even so, you may be allowed to make a certain amount of money on SSDI. Of course you tell the truth, but sometimes even though you tell the truth, it may not be the answer to the question, that is why you need someone to help you, because you don't know when that is happening.

Why won't you tell me what your disability is? The judge will have to know. If they are saying you are lying and it is a misunderstanding, you need a defense.

When the judge looks at the situation, they may say, your son is disabled, why are you denying him access to the funds his grand father set aside for him? The judge may even see your dad for the pond scum he is for taking what was meant for you to take care of you because of your disability.

Girl, I literally cheered when I saw you are here!!! Hope you had a great weekend.

To catch up, the good doctor is trying her hardest to help this guy, but the drama just keeps getting better and better. Megan-Loser slammed me earlier on this thread, and a poster in the child custody forum called rmet a very bad name.

So glad you are back.

Apparently Ohbullship knew about it already because I just checked that thread and she has already posted there. I should've known she would be right on top of it!

Well if you recall I said my mother and father were divorced. I was two years old when my mother and father were divorced. I visited my father for a few summers well before I even went to college.

My father knows about as much about my personality to psychoanalyze me as the Pope might have. Same with his attorney.

And, I think morally and legally under the law it as if he never even was my father because of the divorce especially when I was 2 years old.
