Still not as bad as IAAL. Did they manage to actually boot him off the board for real this time? I haven't seen him in a while.
Oh, you mistake my comment!! I LOVE BB. Wouldn't let anyone get away with calling him that!! Supposedly IAAL made a bet, that he apparently lost, and his wager was not returning to the board. Too bad, IMHO, he definitely went overboard with the language, but he is a brilliant mind.

Judith:

Saying, "my husband is fat and hasn't been promoted, therefore the reason that he hasn't been promoted is because he's fat," is exactly the same as someone saying, "I'm black and I haven't been promoted, therefore it must be because I'm black."

Setting aside the fact that fat discrimination is legal, even if it were illegal you would still have to prove your assertion. You haven't done that.

I must be thinking of a completely different IAAL.

Actually, discrimination in and of itself, is perfectly legal. ;)

Now, anyone want to argue with that??????:D

Add the word, Most, to the beginning of your sentence, and I wouldn't dream of disagreeing, good sir.

Yes, chain and lock the fridge.
It's a shame that a comment like that can be made without any thought. A lot of people are discriminated because of their size, and it is tolerated. "stop eatting" is always the answer. No one ever stops to think that maybe that isn't the problem. I'm on steroids for a lung disease. Everyone knows what steroids does, but I can't walk around with a sign around my neck that says "please don't judge me, I have a medical condition that causes this and can't help it". I'm sure this is wasted breath though, as the poster obviously feels no remorse at hurting people like that. I'm sure it's not his fault, he must have been brought up to be prejudice. :(

Thank you very much. Im sorry people treat you the same way. It IS a shame people can't think about what they're going to say before they say it. Me and my husband really appreciate your understanding of the matter. Again thank you!!!:) :) :)

Damn straight I'm prejudice. It's my right as a U.S. Citizen to be prejudice. In fact, 80% of the fat people in the world are that way because they stuff down three big Mac with a diet coke and wonder why they are fat.

Just like the majority of people with lung cancer wonder why they have it after 20 years of smoking.

and The POINT of this post has nothing to do with my prejudice or the fact that you have lung cancer. It's a matter of law that does NOT give fat people the right to any more consideration that normal weight people receive. Which is little in an at-will employment state.

So, bite rocks.
