I'm writing from New York? Sheesh, how'd that happen? I had the Rocky Mountains to the west last time I looked out the window! This whole spontaneous teleportation thing is really starting to annoy me.
Well, my point actually was that, regardless of geographical borders and their effect on grammar, and regardless of the limitation of this forum to concerns of U.S. law, the word/words "pedophile" and "paedophile" should be considered as one and the same to anyone with an open mind and a bit of education, even if that interchangeability won't hold legal weight. This is high school level stuff-first year college at the latest. Just because someone uses the alternate spelling of a word, even if it's not geographically or legally correct, does that mean we shouldn't grant him that latitude in the interest of communication? I think it's unfortunate to see people handing out legal advice in the same breath as berating him and calling him an idiot for a spelling usage which is actually correct. I hope none of you are actually lawyers.
