Rights or not, my kids would have thought it was weird if I kept popping in to their classrooms. Even more so if I was lurking around, peering around doorways. They loved it when I volunteered for field trips or to help in the classroom for events. Even stopped in occasionally to have lunch with them. Other than that? Not so much.

I thank those of you who tried to help (and Searcher for giving me a brain teaser to work on....how does one have grandchildren without having children?) Unforutnately I can not lay out exactly what the situation is without making it pretty identifiable. Hopefully, my concerns are for nothing, and I do appreciate the input mos of you provided. :)
