No it is not possible when our mail is locked and I have the key. And what is with all the scare tactics? He has had no history of trouble and is a good kid. I looked up some of our state juvenille laws a little bit ago and I have no worries. Just thought I might get some clear factual legal expertise here not go make a phone call...
Uuummm... If he were to find himself at the mailbox when the postman came, he could easily have it handed to him - and even have the postman put the mail not for him in the box. It's not that complicated.

No I don't watch that ****. It's all BS...he hasn't been charged with anything how can he be arrested...anyways what you people here are referring to are juvenilles who have done horrible crimes. In his case if it even went to court it'd be rehabilitiative support and community service...from reading some of our juvenille info. Especially so with him never having any sort of background.
Please watch your language. Even when you disguise it with *'s, everyone knows what you said - and it's against the ToS. Besides, it doesn't take much intelligence to use profanity.

But now I'll suggest that you do nothing. Maybe nothing will happen, and maybe it will. Could be fun for you and sonny to wait for the knock on the door.

The factual legal expertise is that no one here could possibly have any way of knowing, but it's easy enough for you to find out with a simple phone call.

What do you want us to do? Maybe use our Magic 8 Ball to tell you? Or maybe you want me to come to your house and make the call for you? Only if you make homemade brownies.:rolleyes::rolleyes:

My son doesn't have access to our locked mail box. Also he has always been a good kid and he told us everything. We have a good relationship and I trust what he is saying. And how in the hell can they haul my son off if we miss a court date we have no notification for?? What if we were gone out of state and had no idea of anything of this matter?? WTH?!
There is no law in any state that prohibits a court from issuing an arrest warrant for an allegation of criminal conduct.

Maybe notification was attempted and not completed? Who knows? Even if notification for the court date was supposed to be made and was not, that wouldn't prevent the court from acting anyway, even if in error.

You do NOT know of a crime has been alleged. If a crime is alleged, you do know that they can go straight to the court and request an arrest warrant, right? Even if it is a juvenile.

It may well be that the neighbor saying he has court is full of hooey. Yes, some sort of notification is generally part of the process. But, mistakes happen and sometimes kids try to pull a fast one on their parents (yes, even the "good" kids do that).

Yes, it's probably just blarney, but if it were MY child, I know that I would want to know the truth and i would take the 5 minutes out of my busy day and make a phone call.

Give me one good reason why your son's freedom is not worth a five minute phone call? Just one ...

Just shaking my head, Carl.

You're absolutely spot-on (as usual), but seriously - just shaking my head.

He is a good kid who beats up other kids? Oh okay. Your son may have received personal notification. Which means if he doesn't show then guess what -- a warrant is issued and he can be arrested.

Wrong. Kids can be arrested for getting into a fight (it is considered assault/battery). You are obtuse. Seriously.
