turn 18 years old in 14 days. My parents are planning on kicking me out. Ive looked up the laws in ohio and i feel they favor me, whats the most that would happen if we where to go to court or have legal actions taken

You think they favor you how? Unless you have lease that extends beyond your 18th birthday they could give you the proper notice under Ohio law the day you turn 18 and if you aren't out when the notice period expires they can go to court and have you evicted. You'd better either make nice to your parents so they don't do that or make plans to live some place else because if they really want you want you out, they can get you out.

This is going to be hard but you can do it. Start packing. Make sure you have all your important papers (get one of those plastic folios that are water resistant) take as much practical clothing and valuables.

Leaving things behind will be hard, but a lot of baggage is hard to manage in this transition period. One thing to do is put your things in a garbage bag, put that in a box, and then another bag. Then stash that somewhere, like in the woods. You can hopefully retrieve your gear when you have a new residential permanent residence.

You do NOT want to start your adult life with an eviction on your record.. If they're serious, you better get the ball rolling on moving yourself out of their home.

Guys and Gals, I believe that parents have a duty to support their child until graduation from high school...at least child support has to be paid until then. Therefore even if they kick them out, they may still be required to support them. Unless the OP has already graduated, that may be an issue.

Are you speaking about the law in the OP's state, or are you stating your opinion?

There are states where a child is not considered to have reached the age of majority until they graduate from high school and thus the parents are still responsible for his support. Ohio is not one of those states. In Ohio it is a clear and unambiguous Age of 18. What happens with child support in a divorce case where support is payable to the custodial parent is a different issue.

Doesn't child support in Ohio go to age 18 or graduation from high school, whichever comes last? Is my memory faulty?

It appears that the parents are married (or, at least, cohabitating), and that there are no court orders for child support. Why do you believe that child support has anything to do with this matter?

This:

http://codes.ohio.gov/orc/3103.031v1

does not appear to refer only to non custodial parents paying child support.

From your posted code section:
Notwithstanding section 3109.01 of the Revised Code and to the extent provided in section 3119.86 of the Revised Code, the parental duty of support to the child shall continue beyond the age of majority as long as the child continuously attends on a full-time basis any recognized and accredited high school. That duty of support shall continue during seasonal vacation periods.

So, dig a bit deeper to see what 3119.86 says:

http://codes.ohio.gov/orc/3119.86

(1) The duty of support to a child imposed pursuant to a court child support order shall continue beyond the child's eighteenth birthday only under the following circumstances:

and

(2) The duty of support to a child imposed pursuant to an administrative child support order shall continue beyond the child's eighteenth birthday only if the child continuously attends a recognized and accredited high school on a full-time basis on and after the child's eighteenth birthday.

What that means is that what you quoted deals with child support, as court or administratively ordered.

To be sure, I'm going to ask the Ohio expert to have a look at this thread.

We don't even know if OP in enrolled in school.

OP may be a drop out, or already graduated.

Please answer all these questions: Are you in H.S. ? If not are you in college? If not, are you working? If so do you pay for room and board? WHY do your parents want you to leave? Are you getting into legal trouble? Doing drugs? Drinking? Not abiding by the household rules?
