keyofdavid was probably right earlier to leave out his own age and information about the other driver as some people might use his 15-year-old age (at the time) or the older driver’s occupation (coach/PE teacher) in determining whose car had the right-of-way. Most of what he left out was irrelevant as it applies to his question.

In addition to the state right-of-way laws cited earlier, here is a link to a South Carolina Driver’s Manual that explains (with an illustration) which driver goes first and which driver should yield when both drivers arrive at an unmarked intersection at the same time. See pages 58 and 59 of the Manual.
