What are my legal rights in regards to setting up a payment plan with a hospital? I owe a hospital here in Tampa, Florida a total of $790.00. I spoke with a hospital representative regarding setting up a payment plan for $50.00 a month. The hospital refused my payment and told me that I must pay at least $100.00 a month, which I cannot afford. I'm unemployed and can only afford $50.00 a month. What are my legal rights regarding this matter? Please advise. What is the name of your state?

You've no legal rights. A creditor never has to accept less that full payment.
I'd suggest just start sending $50. Bet they take it! Keep a record of your payment {canceled checks}.
