I am in need of some good advice..I hope I can find the answer I'm looking for..

A couple of details..I'm 18, live in Allegheny County, Pennsylvania.

I got a DUI a couple of months ago, went down to the district magistrate, and they dropped the Underage, but I still got a DUI and "careless" driving. I blew what was believed to be a 0.08. Now, my question is, I have to go downtown in front of the Judge, and I have to get qualified for this A.R.D (Accelerated Rehabilitation Disposition?) program. Will I get urine/blood tested while doing this "class", or the day of this court hearing?..I am worried because I occasionally use marijuana, and do not want it to get me in even more trouble. They had found a "roach" in my ashtray of my car when I was arrested, but do not know if they'll bring that up down at the hearing or not. I just want to know what I was walking into before I went down.

Thank you for all your help, I really appreciate it. have a good day.

two things. I live in Allegheny County and this county does not test.

Dude you got yourself in a situation... you are going to on probation. Quit smoking the joints... then you have nothing to worry about.

next time.. you won't get ARD... you will be heading to trail.

CRN evaluation? Not real sure what that may be.
its a evaluation to determine how much involvement you have with booze and drugs...

here is a HINT... the person will ask you questions.. don't tell them you smoke joints or you going to end up doing more classes and pay more money for the classes.

Ard

I have a question that is somewhat related to this topic. I got a DUI and my ARD application is currently pending. I am 18 years old, and still live with my family. My question is, My family is moving out the state soon and I will have no where to live, is it possible for me to be a part of ARD outside of the state? Will they grant me permission and transfer my probation? Or will they put a warrent out for me if I leave the state? I have tried to talk to my public defender about this, but they are always busy and never return my phone calls. Please let me know if you know anything about this!

It's possible to get the probation either done as a phone-in reporting or have it transfered (in the case of DUI ARD, since the probation transfer typically can take longer than the duration of the probation, it would seem to be futile).

People get DUIs in PA who don't reside there and get ARD so I would suspect it's possible. You need to let them no that this is happening up front.
