Yes, on behalf of their client. It's unfortunate the OP didn't follow up. I get it...it's just unfortunate.
Yes it is unfortunate, but since mom used the court ordered name for the child's enrollment in school, its clear that mom wasn't trying to avoid changing the name and obviously thought it was handled. But, even if mom was ordered to do it, dad still could have done it himself if it was important to him.
