Protection against liability in lease

What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? Florida.

Can I write something in the lease that would protect me from liability issues?

For example, something like "the tenant has inspected all smoke detectors, locks,..."...

Something like that that will protect me in case of a liability lawsuit.

There is going to be insurance, but that doesn't mean I still can't get sued.

Research "indemnification clause" to see if that type of responsibility-shifting is what you are after.

If you have decent liability insurance and you do what you are required to do under the law, then it won't matter if you get sued, because your insurance company will handle the lawsuit.

No, because they can still choose to go after you even if you have insurance. Nothing gives a person the right to be a negligent landlord, not even the best insurance policy.
