I have a question about how a subpoena works. I gave my list of people to my attorney, everything is set. However, it seems that my ex is still trying (as of this evening) to find anyone who is willing to testify for him. As far as I know he doesn't have an attorney. I think he is very desperate. He is sending text messages (YES, text messages) to some of my family to try to get them to testify as to his character. None of them are willing. Anyway, my question is can he just bring people to court to testify or does he have to submit a list of names to the court as well as sending out subpoenas?

My oldest came home from school yesterday in tears. Even though I had spoken with her and reassured her that everything would be ok she is still very worried. She said that she is still scared that he is going to hurt her or her sister and she does not want to see him on Friday. She is having a very difficult time at school as well. She said that she thinks about it all day and her stomach won't stop hurting. We saw an advocate on post today. She is trying to arrange a military protective order through the ex's chain of command.

Both of the girls start therapy tomorrow. When I told my daughter she seemed relieved. Honestly I believe there is more going on then what she has told me but I think she just doesn't know what words to use. I am praying the therapist will be able to get to the bottom of it and that my daughters will have another outlet for how they are feeling. Is it normal for kids to sometimes be able to talk to therapists about things that they won't tell their parents? My oldest is a child who never stops talking and wants to tell me about every second of her day every day, so this is definitely a new development. She has been incredibly quiet, doesn't want to socialize, doesn't want to leave my side, doesn't want to go to school (she has always LOVED school and would beg me to let her go to school when she was sick) and has almost no appetite. She is one stressed little girl right now and I just want to make her feel better.

Is therapy something that I can have documented and present to the court?

I'm sorry for sounding so naive, but this is a whole new experience....
