Question about Cell Phone Confiscation

My daughter's school changed their cell phone policy this year. They used to confiscate them and require the parents to come to school to retrieve them. They decided that was punishing the parent, who had to take off work to come to school and get the phone during office hours. So, now the KID gets suspended....one day for the first offense, three days for the second and possible expulsion on the third (private school, so I guess they can do that.)

As a teacher, I think the attitude of the parent described by the OP speaks volumes about what is wrong with kids today. Kid breaks the rules and mom's response is to get a court order and try to get the policy changed to one more to the liking of her and her little darling. God forbid you just avoid all the drama by FOLLOWING THE RULES!:rolleyes:
