Typically, child support is based on three factors: (1) number of kids; (2) the time split; and (3) each parent's income after certain deductions.

Best to discuss with your divorce attorney how things will turn out.

What they make and what their bills are, from what I read?
Some bills are taken into consideration, but not many and it varies from state to state. For example in my state the only bills that are taken into consideration are health insurance for the children and daycare expenses.

When its a 50/50 timeshare generally the parent with the higher income is going to pay some children support. Again though, it's a calculation based on multiple factors. Google "child support calculator New York" to get a ballpark idea of how it is calculated in NY.

In New York, child support is not solely determined by the custody arrangement but is influenced by various factors. While a 50/50 custody arrangement may impact the child support calculation, other factors such as the income of both parents, health care expenses, and child care costs are also considered. It's advisable to consult with a family law attorney to get accurate information tailored to your specific situation.
