What is the name of your state? Ohio

In Ohio, when an administrative review is requested by either party, a packet is sent out to both parties requesting information and notifying both of the review date. Neither are to appear at the hearing for review. The Enforcement Agency makes a decision based on the information provided by both parents in the "pakcet" sent out and notifies both of the results.

Would this packet be sent out via certified mail by the court? The reason I'm asking is I came home today to receive an attempt of delivery via certified mail from USPS, the sender is the Municipal Court. Wondering if it could be for the CS review or if this is possibly my X following through with his threat of suing me for custody. I don't know why, but I thought if he was going to sue me for custody, I would get "served" by some other means, not just a certified letter. Hoping its just the review...also hoping to be able to rest well tonight before I pick the darned thing up.

The Great Karnak puts the envelope to his forhead and discerns the contents...

You're kidding right? You really want us to guess what is in your certified mail? ???

Did I ask you to guess the contents? Nope, just asked if it was a means of serving notification of review of CS or possibly a change in custody. Thanks for taking the time to reply though. Much appreciated!!;)

Have you picked up your mail yet?

No I haven't, I'm at work today and signed the receipt and left in the mailbox for the Mailman. Hopefully he leaves it today. My place of employment is 40 minutes from my home, otherwise I'd run home on my lunch, but don't have enough time. The suspense is killing me, although I'm pretty sure it is the notification that he is suing me for custody. I would think the CS review would come from the Child Support Enforcement Agency, not the courts...

How the heck are we to know? Honestly - this is one of those things that you could google as easily as we could.

Ummmm, some people have experience in OH and know what is typical/usual of the courts and their procedures. Fortunately for me, I haven't ever had to go through nasty court proceedings, changes in circumstances, etc. Our lives since the divorce have been relatively normal and amicable. My X has more than doubled his income and I haven't even THOUGHT about having CS reviewd b/c I don't care about the $. As long as he is in my daughter's life and being a good father (which he has) and giving her what she deserves as his child, that is all that I ask. If you aren't one of those people that has experience in what I was asking about, I certainly don't want to waste your time in responding to me.

Oh, and I have been researching on the internet on every freaking website you could imagine. I'm sure you can understand that since the NCP in my situation has decided to get a hair up his a$$ and threaten the only damn thing that matters in my life, it consumes just about every second of every day for me. Its all I worry about non-stop. So forgive me if I ask questions that you or others might think are annoying. I'm just trying to get some insight and put my mind at ease. Usually I just read posts, I don't really respond or start my own threads. Your type of response is why.

It could be either one. Certified mail is often a method of service, as is personal service. No one's going to hazard a guess.

Or it could be something completely unrelated to the ex. Maybe she's being sued by a neighbor or a bill collector!

OOPS! I just gave the OP even MORE to worry about. She might not be able to get any work done.

I thought it was an impatient post.
(As in, I think a parent should have enough patience to wait for tomorrow's mail. )
