Due to ArchSpire's comments I've decided that I will no longer be posting responses to DUI cases in this forum. I'm trying to help people, not be scrutinized by how I write a response. I don't appreciate people slamming me like that. Good day.

PCho,

You cannot let one person with a nitpicky response get you down. There will always be people who will slam you ... if you have been practicing law for any amount of time, you certainly have been smacked around a bit in court and even by clients. One guy with 4 posts to his name should not be allowed to run you off.

Just roll your eyes at him and move on. Your contributions to this site will be valuable, so I encourage you to reconsider.

I know Carl. :) I look forward to posting here and helping people out. Its just that when people post rude comments and things like that, I let it get to me. The rude posters don't even know how much time and effort I put into representing my clients, and keeping up with new DUI law. And to say things
like that. I already have a lot of things to deal with in my life. I come here to get away from that. To really help people. I take a lot of time to research and provide useful answers to people in this forum. Bottom line though, I will stay.

I'll just ignore people like ArchSpire and Proserpina.

Hey, what do you call one hundred attorneys at the bottom of the Atlantic Ocean?

A good start. :p

Sorry, just trying to lighten up the atmosphere.

Hopefully PCho doesn't add me to his ignore list.

PCho, I agree with Carl.

You cannot let one post, or even ten or fifty, affect you. Shoot, we have ALL been knocked around and criticized, and our abilities and intelligence questioned. In fact, you should have seen the "nice" posts that were aimed in my direction yesterday.

I will tell you that those are certainly some reasons why most of us here post anonymously, though. ;) :D

But, I would hate to have you refrain from offering advice based on one post or on any other posts that are critical of you or the advice you offer (including those I have tossed your way). That is just the nature of this forum or any other forum and it takes some time getting used to it.

The bottom line is that the forum really benefits from someone with your expertise.

(as a note, I wouldn't ignore Proserpina - her advice is some of the wisest and most astute offered on the forum, and her sense of humor is great)

And, if you browse some of the other forums, you will find that a number of us "seniors" disagree on occasion - sometimes, vehemently. You just shake it off, and move on.

I remain here because the posts challenge me to expand my knowledge, and allow me to - when I have the time - do research and investigate claims made here. It can be educational and also allows me to strengthen my skills.

I try not to take too much time on any one post, however, though there are some people here that spend a great deal of time and effort on certain types of relies, and I will often go out of my way to read these topics simply to learn from their posts on particular issues. And while I have a great deal of knowledge with regards to the identification and enforcement of DUI as an officer and instructor, I have less of a knowledge of the court side of things and this is an area that can be invaluable to posters here.

Okay Carl and Quincy. You convinced me. :) Thanks for the support. I hope that I can continue to be of help to people in this forum.

Hey! I never ever tell anyone to go play on the freeway. I tell them to go play in the Family Law section of the forum. MUCH more dangerous. :p :D

I guess that's why you know who never came back. He came to play in the FL section and it was worse than getting hit by a Mack truck:p

Hey now, I resemble that remark! (thank you, by the way - your kind words meant an awful lot!).

I read my comment again, and it came across much more harshly than I intended. I apologize for that. That being said, if someone made that comment I hope that my lawyer would correct it :)

Individuals vetted by FreeAdvice?

For individuals who have been vetted by FreeAdvice should their status' change from "Junior Member" or "Member" to Senior Member?

I've been enjoying being a "lurker" on this board for several years now. I don't drink and I have never been in trouble with the law so I don't come here for advice. I'm mostly just interested in legal matters. I was involved in a no fault accident several years ago where I asked a couple questions on this board so I think that was my intro to this board.

I've learned a few Senior Members handles (ecmst12 for one) and certainly respect their knowledge and experience but I've also learned that most if not everyone who are not Senior Members to be cautious with when reading their input. Not that I don't respect anyone's input but just more cautious.

btw - I had a different handle/alias before my email address changed in case anyone goes back to view my history on this board.

Thoughts?
