OP - Just because you were charged with a minor in consumption, does not make the charge a juvi offense. It only means you are under the legal DRINKING AGE.

emotional mistakes

So what happens if something really bad happened a little earlier that day, and I was really upset, so without thinking, I did retail theft....then that night that incident just added on to my depression and I got an MIC for blwing a .038? what exactly should I do? my parents aren't very knowledgeable when it comes to the legal system, and so I have to find out what my best bet is on my own, although that should be my responsibility in the firist place. But anyway, I am really scared. I am not a bad kid, I mean I am in leadership student council, and i play sports. my parents never would have guessed I would do something like this. and I dont know how to tell them. i don't know if i should get a lawyer or WHAT to do. please please if you are reading this please respond...!

i live in Minnesota, am 16 years of age, &got a minor in South Dakota.
i got taken to JDC for my parents to pick me up, &they said they would contact me about a court date. this is my first offense. what are my likely punishments?
