What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? CT
My wife had an affair about a year ago, and in the past few months she became verbally abusive to me on a daily basis (I've never laid a hand on her and have never even yelled at her). I bought a voice-activated recorded and recorded in hopes I'd have something to defend myself with in the event she makes allegations against me in divorce court. I have since learned that those conversations are not admissible in court anyway so I stopped. However, I am worried just recording her with only one parties consent is illegal, is that the case?
