All cases depend on the specific facts. A court determination that applies to one person does not necessarily apply to everyone.

What are the specifics in your case?

I have sole physical & legal custody. NCP has supervised visits ordered but hasn't seen kids since it was ordered. It's been 8 months. I'd like to move 300 miles away. We are about to have our 1st grandchild and would like to be closer to our adult children (step) and additional extended family. Other than NCP, we have no family or family friends where we currently live. There are also substantially better opportunities, medical, educational, financial & recreational in the area we want to move to. I've been the primary residential parent from day one, as well as a stay at home parent before the divorce. I also have a DVRO on the NCP (for the past 6 years)

I did find an attorney. But she’s just drafting the motion. I’m still pro se because of $$$. I’ve done all the case law research. I’m just looking for anecdotes on which factors helped different people in their circumstances. You never know what might pop up in court and I like to be prepared for various situations/outcomes, etc. I appreciated the advice I was given, I just was hoping to hear from ppl that have been in this situation.

Unfortunatelly these cases are highly judge dependent, so the only helpful anecdotes would be from someone who appeared before your judge in similar circumstances. So a local attorney who has appeared before your judge many times would be much more helpful than anecdotes from strangers pn the internet who do not live in your state let alone appeared before your judge.

This really is not a chat or a support forum. Your request is vague and really won't help. Nobody has been in your exact situation, because the situation is yours...

Has anyone won or lost a relocation case in CA?
Yes. Everyone who has either filed to relocate or opposed relocation has either won or lost.

If so, can you please share the pertinent details that led to the judges decision?
No. Neither I nor anyone else can share details of every relocation case that has ever been filed in California.

How old is your minor child?

I’m just looking for anecdotes. . . . I just was hoping to hear from ppl that have been in this situation.
That's not what boards like this are for.

Burgess (the case to which I directed you in your prior thread) and its progeny will provide everything you need. You might also visit your county law library and review The Rutter Group's Family Law practice guide.
