Washington-
Me and 3 of my roomates just ended an 11 month lease through a property management agency. Washington law states that the tenants must recieve either the deposit refund, or explination of the bills outstanding for the property within 14 days, otherwise the entire deposit must be returned to the renters. I never recieved notice until the 17th of August(Postage is dated August 15, PO stamp says August 16). Our keys were returned to the property management agency on the 1st of August, not the 31st of July due to the fact that the first of the month fell on a Sunday and the Management office was closed. Are we, as renters, entitled to receive our full deposit back given we weren't notified within the 14 day grace period?
