Two months ago I had a issue and was fined and given 120 days community service, that same week I lost my two jobs and my car quit and needs a new timing belt, approx. $500.00 to fix.

So far I have kept up on paying the fine, but have put a hold on the C.S. until I have another job and transportation, which I feel is more important since community service does not pay the rent. My question: Is there a petition I can submit to the Judge/Court to extend my community service to start at a later date?

I don't want to get in trouble for not complying with the court order and have more fines or days added. Is there a form I can fill out, or a site that has examples of the wording and set up? Any suggestions, referrals, advice is greatly appreciated.

Don't worry about your rent...they don't charge you rent at jail...and that is where you will be if you don't do your CS...

Actually they sometimes do charge you rent in jail.
