I had to pay restitution payments during my probation. When my probation was up I was told that the restitution is no longer punishable if not paid, that it only go on my credit as a judgement and I would not get tax refunds and such. I have not paid in a while and got a subpoena for financial records and i was told in the letter with the subpoena that if I did not produce these documents that other means of collection would be used....what are the other means and can they seize property or bank accounts?

While it won't affect your probation (since it's over), failure to pay restitution in NC could lead to contempt of court sanctions.
