So does anyone think I should proceed with getting a lawyer and taking on the hospital? Is it worth it?
Thanks

Not worth it. you are not a sympathetic "victim" that a jury would be swayed to award large amounts of money. if you were sober when this happened, that would be a different story.

Fair enough, but I wasn't drunk or belligerent or out of my mind. I was rational and aware and competent. I was physically taken and then held against my will. I was not aggressive or fighting or yelling. I was calm. Had I been an able-bodied person, hey would have let me walk away. But since they could hold me down in my wheelchair, this happened. Do you still think I shouldn't pursue it?

You certainally have means of redress administratively, however your chances of any large settlement are small because you were having substance abuse problems by your own admission, contact an attorney specializing in disability or civil rights law for a consultation.
