What sort of truck do you drive, that there's no room for a suitcase?

How many other people were in this caravan of yours, and why didn't THEY have room for luggage in their vehicle?

What sort of "signal" did you send to the accompanying driver, to let him know to wait for you?

Did anyone - other than you - use the word "device"?

What were you transporting, according to your logs?
It was just myself and my escort vehicle for my oversize load. I drive a semi/no sleeper. He drives a pickup truck.

I just put up my index in a way that suggested hold on, it will be a minute. I even said just a minute.

I never used the word device, thats how it is written on the charges.

At the time I was pulling an oversize empty trailer, which coincides with what my log said. When was loaded it showed windmill tower.

Just got word that the other guy was stopped at the POE and was found to have something in his possession.

You ADMIT that it was your suitcase.
If you are asking do I admit i had 1 suitcase in the other truck. It sat next to the other 2 that were in that truck that were not mine.

If you are asking me if I did admit I had a suitcase to the officer. That would be NO. I was never asked about anything that was in the other vehicle, I didnt know they were searching that truck til i talked to the other driver a few days later

You previously sated here that they found the device in your luggage.

Then why did you present that as a FACT?

As you've probably been told previously in this thread...get an attorney.
Yea thanks I am calling some now.

I apologize if it came across as fact. Im not sure where it came across that way, I was trying to make sure I didnt mislead.

And was there anything in/on the suitcase that would have identified the luggage as yours? Like... a luggage tag on the outside?

The statute doesn't say "device", it says "substance or device". So would there have been anything in your possession, such as a "cleansing tea" or anything else that is intended to make a urine test show a false negative?

Did you disclose your prior drug conviction to your employer?

What was the controlled substance?

Your attorneys argument is that the suitcase was not in your control or possession and the items were likely transferred there, by the driver of the escort vehicle, after viewing the search of your semi.
