What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? Florida

Good Afternoon. I have a client that had a judgment against him. He paid the judgment into the courts registry to satisfy the judgment. The 20 year statue had expired a couple of years ago on this judgment. The judgment creditor was never located and thus didn't collect the money that was deposited into the court.

Since this is no longer a valid judgment can the judgment debtor petition the court to reclaim the money he paid into the court to satisfy the judgment? If so, How?

Thanks for any input.

No, the judgment money would escheat to the state, same as any other unclaimed property.
