Ohiogirl, I am aware that they happen, but as my gf has nothing but secondhand knowledge about the meat of the case(that Wednesday overnights s/b removed due to an “adverse impact” on my daughters homework and schoolwork, as pretty much the rest I am willing to work out), I am a little surprised by this.
It's a little weird if they're not also deposing YOU, but really... they can depose anyone who has an interest in the case, or who will impact the custody decision... and your girlfriend lives with you, right?

Just remember that they can't use her deposition in court unless she's also called as a witness and then the deposition is only used to ... try to catch her in a changed story.

Not a big deal, and an excellent way for her attorney to rack up fees that they're then going to ask you to pay.
