I attended online. Will they forgive debt if you graduated?
No. They will not forgive your debt if you graduated.

Most schools will not allow you to obtain an official transcript until you clear up their debt to them. The significance of this is that some employers (and all institutions of higher learning, should you wish to pursue another degree) require an official transcript as proof that that you actually completed the coursework.

They have been forgiving student debts of all kinds going back as far as 2004, for graduates and non-graduates alike, depending on the circumstances. That is why it is important for you to go over the specifics with a professional in your area - and you should do this soon. Some of the debt forgiveness programs have time limitations.

If you did not sign any tuition-loan paperwork, it is possible you were signed up for a loan without your knowledge. This has happened to other students.

But the facts really matter.

What state are you in, Chuckonit?
