Actually, I would be willing to let you prove what you posted about SC's. Can you do that?
what is it that you want me to prove? Prove what I have experienced in processing clearances for the past 10 years?

Obviously I made you angry, sorry! I stand by what I stated.

If you have processed them, then you can prove your Bullcrap statement.

Right?

Dig out the regs and be done with it. I am not taking anything personal with your previous idiotic posts, just letting the forum know where you are coming from.

I'm waiting for the regs on this issue.

You do have them right? You processed them for 10 years right?

Don't mislead posters in the way that you have.

I haven't mislead anyone. Please enlighten me as to how I have. I should ask you.....do you know what a Security Clearance is? Yes, you obviously have taken something I said personally if you feel the need to place previous posts that I have entered into this thread.

If you feel the need to jump all over my post and claim that it is bullcrap, if you are going to be so bold in your accusations, it may be a good idea to at least have some back up to your comments.

In the contracting world we don't use the Military Regs......it is called the NISPOM or National Industrial Security Program Operating Manual.....

DSS course IS002.08 D / Essentials of Industrial Security Management, Chapter 4 - Personnel Security Clearances states

"This is an important concept. The Personnel Security Clearance is not a piece of paper. It is a determination, essentially an educated guess, as to a person's character."

If you need me to clarify something specific that I stated, I will be more than happy to. Seems as though you need some education on the subject.....but what do I know!

Yes, you obviously have taken something I said personally if you feel the need to place previous posts that I have entered into this thread. Again, nothing personal.

Seems as though you need some education on the subject No, but thanks anyway's......but what do I know! Apparently nothing, you can't even back up your lame comments. So it took you three years to get your clearance? HMM, HOW TIME FLIES.

The wrong info? And your temptation to post on this thread?

I borrowed Insanes Hazmat suit, so I feel very safe.

Since you don't want or need any education on the subject, you should find another subject to comment on. Your comments are so ridiculous they make me laugh.

I Must Be Lost!

Someome is taking this a bit personal it seems.......especially to add this to someone elses question.......my problems are ending.......someone elses are just beginning......especially when they have to buy their own ring.......

So.........ah...........guys, how bout them security clearances?! :(

Pb, fortunately my business has picked up alot now that it's the "in" season. Therefor I am less concerned about the clearance, however I am still curious as to whether I'll be granted one. Overseas companies due pay very well, although not as much as lawyers get. :D

Dsb, thanks for your advice. After reading the links you provided I came to the conclusion I do have a better chance than I originaly thought. I forgot to mention I am 25 years old, so, with what I read, they are more forgiving to those who made the "bad choices" at an earlier age rather than a later -for obvious reasons. All that could be considered bad on my record occured over 2 years ago and for the most part over 5 years.

I have some information I would like to e-mail you if you would give me your address.......Honestly, I don't think you will have as much of a problem as you think but if you would send me a message I would return some information that you might find helpful or useful.

Again, I apologize for that banter.....I still don't quite get it......but whatever....good luck!

Oh and Pb, 3 years?! Um, I'm just going for a Secret clearance here, nothing special. From everything I've read it should take no longer to get an answer either way within 4 months. I haven't killed anyone, stolen from any employers or anyone else for that matter. 3 years? Yea, I suppose if I lived a fascinating life, but I ain't nobody special, just a man who loves his country in all its capitalistic glory. ;)

3 years due to Chap 7 filing after paperwork was submitted. Also I am an
FSO and a KMP....Facility Security Officer and Key Management Personnel and
at the time I submitted my paperwork there was a backlog of close to a
million clearance investigations over a year old.......considering I had to
make a Statement and amend my paperwork AFTER submission and considering it
was at the worst time, it is understandable......but I had my interim within
2 months, and an interim gives you the same authority so in actuality I had
a clearance. It sat in DOHA for 2 years waiting to be adjudicated.....at
that time the industrial or civilian clearance investigations were SUPPOSED
to transition over to OPM but that never happened so then DOHA had to start
picking up the pace......

OH AND,Don't laugh about killing someone.....I know a guy that committed
manslaughter and he has a Secret Clearance.....so you see, maybe all is not
lost.......in his case I believe they looked at the whole issue and decided
that he was still a good person, with good character......

question for PB1963

I've been reading the forum about the security clearance. PB1963, you seem like you would be able to help me with my security clearance questions. I recently was denied for Interim Security Clearance but I do not know why. My facility security officer (FSO) had no information as to why I was denied. My FSO received a letter stating that I was denied for Interim but they are going to continue processing my application for my final clearance. Any help you can provide is greatly appreciated.
