My sister, due to poor planning, did not make living arrangements after her lease expired. She moved in with friends, but her friends were allergic to cats - so she asked me to hold on to her cat for her for a period of 3 months. And I, due to poor planning, left my $1600 MacBook out where one of the cats--unsure if it was my cat or hers--scratched it. Who's liable?
