What is the name of your state? AZ

My friend is around 32 and has a 5 year old son.

A crazy chick is going around to friends/family of my friend, and telling them both true and false information in hopes that she will be able to make people have a bad impression of my friend (the true information is bad, but the false is a lot worse). Some of the false information deals with how my friend handle her 5 year old son, and some sexual things that my friend has done (completely untrue).

She's gone to about 5 different family members, screamed and yelled at the kid with profanity. The family members wouldn't mind going to court and explain specific instances of what was said.

1) Are there any legal actions I can do against this crazy chick?
2) If not, where could I go to have some sort of Attorney letterhead that makes it look like I am going to take her to court if this behavior continues (even if I have no legal standing). I hope that she stops, but if she doesn't (been going on for about a month now), I would like to scare her with a nice legal document saying she is going to be taken to court.

You want to impersonate an attorney and face criminal charges? DUFUS

- Sorry, that means have my friend take her to court.

- No, just something that makes everything look more than just an average letter. There has to be something out their. I thought there were offices with free legal consultation/advice, some place where you could go to have a letter sent from. Or maybe an online template that looks like the papers lawyers send out.

Why can't your friend take care of the situation and consult with an attorney for real instead of you sending a fake letter with spelling and grammar mistakes?

If you are so concerned about your friend, loan her the money to consult with an attorney to write a single letter. Talking about $200 tops.

She is so worried about this crazy girl but doesn't want to spend any money to fix the problem. Remember, you get what you pay for.

Then do it your way. Just expect to be charged with impersonating an attorney. Then, your way is no longer the "free" way.
- How would I be impersonating an attorney? Read my response to BelizeBreeze if you are unclear

- Because a simple letter would most likely fix the problem. She is scared of the police, and has no money.

If your intention is to make the person BELIEVE that you are in a position that would allow you to initiate legal proceedings, be it civil or criminal, against her unless she stops talking about your friend, you will be breaking the law.
