I've come to this Site Respectfuly to FIND an Atty. Jen,I don't no of one,I no they are listed in the phone book but I was hoping someone or anyone knew of one here in St. Petersburg Fla.???That I maybe able to call upon.
In defense of "Jen", you came to this site with a question about whether a supervisor can be sued for slander and what do you have to do to take that person to Small Claims. That is completely different than the reason you now claim. I believe I answered your original post.

You have subsequently posted some confusing information about written letter(s) that your (former) Manager telling how great you were and a letter from another supervisor (that apparently claims that they were YOUR employee), also pointing out how professional you are. And yet, there is apparently 'somone' (??)who continues to make (apparent untrue) claims about you.

So, you are now to a point where you are looking for an attorney to represent you in your claim against someone.
Here is the reality of this situation: based on your post, I believe it would be EXTREMELY unlikely for any attorney to take this case on a contingency fee basis (it is a weak case and against a probable 'shallow pocket). This means that YOU will have to fund it out of your pocket. And, due to the issues that you want to press, it will very probably be VERY expensive (depositions, research into the facts, discovery, etc.), probably in the range of $5,000 PLUS... and that is even before (if) it gets to trial. Are YOU prepared to fund this??? If not, you are pretty much Dead in the water. But, go ahead. Call your local (county) Bar Association and ask them for a referral to an attorney experienced in employment and defamation cases. Their referral will probably get you a low (or no) cost meeting with an attorney. I just wouldn't get my hopes up too high.
