I appealed a driving on a suspended license conviction and lost. I was told my case would be remanded to district court for resentencing. I called several times over the 2 months following the failed appeal,to ask the status of my case and was told there was none. I live in the mountains and told the court clerk that I could not drive over the mountain pass during winter for re-sentencing. 5 months later I am informed that during an exceptionally snowy december I am required to appear, even though I was sentenced initially, before my appeal. Is this legal? and is there some sort of time limitation on sentencing?

Thanks you,
