Step-father wants to adopt my son!!!!!!!

I have a 10 year old son and his biological father lives in the same town and has nothing to do with him..He has only spent about 1 week with him in the past 10 years and that is only because he was sick...He does not pay child support or anything else..My husband of 9 years wants to adopt him and I was wondering what I can do to get this done?? On my sons birth certificate is does NOT state the fathers name because he did not sign it...What should I do??

Get an attorney and petition the courts to force an adoption.
